First let me emphasize that your print will need no more care than any
piece of decorative artwork in any other medium and is superior in many ways.
The best analogy I can find is to treat your prints like you would a watercolor.
Some simple guidelines are given below which should ensure your print will be enjoyed for generations to come.
It is recommend that you treat your Inkjet / Giclée prints the same as any artwork.
They should be protected from water and care taken not to hang them where they will receive direct or reflected sunlight.
Your prints should be matted. Only acid free materials should be allowed to come in contact with your print. Mylar or other acid free corner holders
are recommended for this.
Your print should be framed behind UV blocking glass using archival grade materials. Any good frame shop
will sort this out for you.
Care should be taken when cleaning to prevent contaminants creeping between the glass and the frame.
Spray your glass cleaner on the cloth and not directly on the glass may be an example.
